Duran Duran's Rio album is still on my turntable

After years of listening to Duran Duran, I still can't get enough of the Rio album. I also love their first album simply called (guess what..!) Duran Duran. But Rio has something really special to it. The Japan (the band, thank you Randy!) sound had disappeared for a more "pop-rock" atmosphere with a twist thanks to the one and only Nick Rhodes. One song that I particularly like is "Last Chance On The Stairway". It really represents what Duran Duran was all about, the ladies, the partying, the glamour, it's all in it. Charming but not cheesy, it puts you in the mood right before "Save A Prayer" which one of my favourite love song - speaking of cheesy, my other favourite love song is "Careless Whisper" by Georges Michael - Outch!
"Lonely In Your Nightmare" is on the same line as "Last Chance On The Stairway", a floating sound, Simon LeBon's charming voice, a perfect mix for a few minutes of daydreaming. As for "The Chauffeur", beautiful tune but it gets even better in their live album from 1985 called Arena.

But the most important song in Rio is actually "Rio"! You just want to be in that video!
Enjoy!

I really like when people are expressing their opinion and thought. So I like the way you are writing
