LADYTRON - Gravity The Seducer - 2011

2011 hasn't been musically exciting apart for bands like Digitalism and Egyptian Hip Hop but Gravity The Seducer has proved me wrong. Starting the album with "White Elephant" and "Mirage", two strong songs in the like of Vangelis, Ladytron clearly shows maturity and sophistication. Their "Recoil-esque" song "White Gold" is a gem and their first single "Ace of Hz" has huge commercial potential. But the real star of this album is "90 Degrees" - it is rich, well-produced and catchy. Just close your eyes...

Their debut album Torches is full of "perky beats" with tunes like "Helena Beat" and "Call It What You Want". You can't hate it! Have a listen and tell me what you think!

Depeche Mode - Remixes 2: 81-11

Depeche Mode's Remixes Opus number 2 is out. Tracks from various albums have been remixed by Royksopp, UNKLE, Peter Bjorn & John, Jacques Lu Cont, Bushwacka and Digitalism to name the most famous.

A lovely surprise awaits all die-hard DM fans; just check CD#3 - track 5. A hint? He's Wilder than wild. It's of course, the brain behind DM's sound, Mister Alan Wilder himself. The track he chose to remix is "In Chains" from their latest album Sounds of the Universe.

BRAND NEW ROBYN WITH RÖYKSOPP - None of Dem > The Complete Track!!!

None Of Dem (ft. Röyksopp) by robyn

Thoughts?

ORGY - Blue Monday (New Order cover) > The Video!!!

Do you remember this crazy American band from the Family Values tribe?
They were called Orgy (commercial suicide if I may say). Late 90s they released "Stitches" and "Fiction". Good tracks but unfortunately not very successful in the charts.

Yet another "Blue Monday" cover.

Jamiroquai - Cosmic Girl > The Video which could have appeared in Top Gear!!!

The sports cars used in this video are actually Jay's owns. Pretty cool, huh?

Heaven 17 LIVE on BBC iPlayer

Heaven 17's first album Penthouse and Pavement released in 1980 was a landmark in UK pop history combining electronica with pop hooks. Due to technological constraints the band were unable to perform the album live at the time of its release. However, to celebrate its 30th anniversary and with the advances in technology, the album was performed for the first time to a sell-out gig of over 2000 people at the Sheffield Magna Arena on 6 March 2010. Along with their hits Temptation, Let Me Go and Come Live With Me they perform Penthouse and Pavement in its entirety.

For all UK residents, please CLICK HERE!

I don't want to spoil anything but there's a lovely surprise in it.

Enjoy!

NEW FROM SWEDEN: Kent - Idioter > Töntarna > The Official Videos!!!

Big time Kent fan. Since I don't live in Sweden anymore, it's a bit hard to keep up with them.
Their last single released is "Idioter" which basically means "Idiots". It is extract from their last album Röd is available on CDON (click HERE).

The first single released from this album was "Töntarna".

The more music they release, the more electronic they sound. I have to say, they're far from being fame whores like bloody Meatloaf - his last album was a desperate call for fame, but it's only my humble opinion, don't hate me for that!!!
They have aged gracefully and they sound great. They have perfectly embraced the technology that is now available and did a pretty good job with it!

They are currently touring in Scandinavia, for more tour dates go to their website www.kent.nu.

New Florence & The Machine - Dog Days Are Over > The Video!!!

Ok this video is the new version, the first one was a little weird. She's supposed to be a bit more commercial now so she needed a new, cleaner version right?

CAN YOU HEAR THE HORSESESESESESESESESESES????

Great track! It just makes me want to jump up and down and get all crazy!!! :)
